Editing
I offer a variety of editing services ranging from copyediting to developmental feedback. I have experience working with nonfiction, poetry, fiction, and scientific writing, and can help writers clarify and amplify their voices through supportive and constructive feedback.
Tutoring
I offer in-person and online tutoring for students of all ages, especially middle school through high school and college. I specialize in helping with English, history, Spanish, and other humanities, as well as with executive functioning techniques. With a warm and intuitive style, I help students understand their own unique learning styles and build confidence and concrete skills that will help them thrive in school and beyond.
My background
I earned an MFA in Creative Writing and the Environment at Iowa State University. While earning my degree, I taught undergraduate English courses and worked at the tutoring center as a communication consultant. I have also served as an editor for the literary journals Flyway and Alligator Juniper, and as a communications assistant for author Priyanka Kumar.
