Pearl Hogrefe Fellowship recipient, 2015 – 2016
A year-long graduate fellowship within ISU’s Creative Writing & Environment program that provided a living stipend and a break from teaching responsibilities to focus on my writing.
Frederick & Frances Sommer Fellowship recipient, 2011-2012
Undergraduate fellowship that provided rent-free housing for a year at the historic cabin of renowned photographer Frederick Sommer, during which I worked on my BFA thesis in creative writing.
Conferences
Association of Writers & Writing Programs Conference (AWP), 2017
Created and facilitated a panel titled “Ecofiction: Spreading Ecological Literacy through Stories” with authors Ann Pancake, Priyanka Kumar, Elise Blackwell, and Pamela Christie.
